    1. That's the biggest attraction about Crotons, Shirley. The colours you can get are simply fantastic.

  3. Beautiful shot of Croton, I used to grow these in pots, they don't do well in the garden here, however as I am not much of a pot gardener they don't last long.

    1. We're so lucky to be able to grow these outdoors here. They will thrive on neglect and just seem to plug along no matter what the conditions or weather.

  4. I love the colors of this foliage and I think my mom used to grow it as a houseplant

    1. They are such a common plant here, and grown outdoors. We do rather take them for granted and perhaps don't appreciate them as we should.

  5. Lovely colours, crotons are houseplants here too, as you probably know, how lovely it must be to be able to have them in your garden :-)

    1. Helene, Crotons are a staple plant for gardens here, and it would be uncommon not to find at least one in pretty much any garden here in the tropics. They are an easy-to-grow, no-fuss plant.

    1. Yes Gunilla, that's what makes them such a stand-out in the garden.

    1. I was a little bit like you, Stiletto. Perhaps because they're such a common plant here. I've now come to appreciate them more, and I'm also planning on adding more to the garden.
