Mosaic Monday ... It's Lily Time!
I've got a couple of pots of Oriental, Asiatic and L.A. Hybrid Liliums out in my courtyard, and they're providing fabulous sights and wonderful perfume at the moment.
Dearest Bernie. I do hope you are feeling much better by now, and have fully recovered. Recently returned home from hospital, and a huge bouquet of white and pink Lillies were waiting for my attention. They filled my home with the most wonderful fragrance. Love Lillies, but don´t think I would succeed growing them, myself. Yours are absolutely gorgeous. I admire your ´magic touch´ ;o) Have a wonderful week. Best regards Iris.
Iris, I'm going to say the same thing back to you ... I hope you're feeling better and on the way to recovery after your hospital stay. I can imagine just how much the Lily fragrance would have lifted your spirits. They're such a lovely gift.
Bernie, your lilies are just gorgeous. I love all the pretty colors. I wish I could smell their fragrance. Lovely images, thanks for sharing. Have a great week ahead.
Hi Bernie. Your liliums are so beautiful. I must say I have never tried to grow them. How has the winter been over there. We haven't had hardly enough rain. Looks like another dry summer coming. Have a wonderful week.
Jill, out winters are always fabulous. Lovely temps, clear blue skies. Of course our winters occur during our dry season so we don't get much rain, if any at all at that time of year. We're now hanging out for the summer rains to arrive. Everything around is very dry and brown.
Hi Bernie....I do hope also that you have recovered. I had a wedding this weekend and I used the Asiatic lilies. Mostly orange but the big white Casa Blanca for the bride. The big white ones have a smell as do the pink ones. Yours are quite lovely in your garden.
Yes Jean, I'm on the way to full recovery now. I was back at work today and got through the day very well, thank goodness. Wedding decorations of Asiatic Lilies would look absolutely stunning. What a great choice.
Donna, I wish I had lots more space to plant loads of them. Unfortunately that's not the case, and I can't seem to fit any more pots out in my courtyard either!!!
Dearest Bernie.

ReplyDeleteThanks Eileen. The fragrance is just heavenly out in the courtyard at the moment. Wish I could share it with you.
DeleteWhat a wonderful sight. I love that Eyeliner Lily Bernie. It is on the l8ist. LOL! Have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteLona, 'Eyeliner' is the one that seems to be everyone's favourite. Well-deserved too. It's really a stunner.

DeleteOh WOW! Absolutely stunning. Certainly the right prescription for our grey dismal damp day we are having today
ReplyDeleteLove the pinks.
Only too glad to help, Sue. So glad the Lilies brightened your day. I imagine things are really winding down in your garden at the moment.
DeleteBeautiful lilies. The white ones look like an elegant wedding : )
ReplyDeleteThanks Laurrie, the whites are, of course, my favourites.

DeleteI can just smell the fragrance of those Liliums from here, lovely.
ReplyDeleteIt's a fragrance I just adore, Karen. I wish they would last all year!
DeleteBeautiful! So hard to pick a favorite, but that cream and yellow lily in the 4th mosaic, bottom right, really grabbed my eye!
ReplyDeleteThey all look fabulous. I'm rather partial to the whites and creams, Leslie.
DeleteThe lilies are so gorgeous. I suppose you are not bothered by lily beetle in Australia. They just destroy the lilies here in season. Valerie
ReplyDeleteNo, Val, there's no Lily beetle here in the tropics. We're so lucky. Our Lilies can look terrific for ages.
DeleteI have many of these lilies but they look so sunny, warm and welcoming in your garden...wishing for mine to be flowering again.
ReplyDeleteDonna, I wish I had lots more space to plant loads of them. Unfortunately that's not the case, and I can't seem to fit any more pots out in my courtyard either!!!
DeleteThanks you kindly, Sharon.
ReplyDeleteDear Bernie.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for your kind words. They warmed my recovering heart.
My Best regards to you. Iris.
Absolutely gorgeous! For some reason, we can't grow them in North Florida.
ReplyDeleteThe lilies are beautiful. I just cut some of mine down as they had turned brown, can't wait until they are up again next summer.
